Hi

Is the hadith by Umar ibn al Khatab about kissing the black stone being of no benefit or harm useful in the context of this article? @Asmith

It certainly is. Going forward, be sure to sign your comments on talk pages (see here). IbnPinker (talk) 18:13, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
thank you IbnPinker, excuse me I am still learning. 2 Q: How do I suggest topics that have not been covered on the wiki and are there any tasks from which I could chose from? Sashraf (talk) 14:11, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
No worries. We have a tasks page but it is woefully outdated. My suggestion: if you have ideas that are currently actionable, add them to the tasks page. But, since the tasks page is somewhat outdated at the moment, if you want to find something to do, just browse the wiki. You should be able to find easy contributions you can make to stubs (short articles: atm, the articles on Muhammad's male companions are an example of this). You can also just find topics you like via the categories page (categorization on the site is not perfect atm, FYI) and work on those, or just browse all pages (only two pages, relatively brief to browse) and then just edit something that interests you. If you are interested in rewriting (you need strong English skills to do this and make it worth while), I can recommend the science articles, most of which are written like polemics and need to be more encyclopedic. If you have any specific ideas about what you'd like to work on, let me know, I can guide you. If you want to just be assigned an article to add to or to rewrite, I can also do that. Thanks. IbnPinker (talk) 15:49, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
Another resource that is ideally really useful is the page scores page which, if you sort the articles by total score, shows you what articles need to be worked on the most. ATM, unfortunately, it is also a couple months out of date and our editors haven't been perfectly diligent about updating the scores of pages they've edited. That said, it is still useful for seeing which articles need work to some extent, even if it is out of date and doesn't list newly created pages, for example. Also consider taking a look a the recently created pages (ignore the Portal: articles for now) - most of the the other newly created pages will be relatively empty and make for easy contributions. Let me know if you need more ideas or want an assignment. IbnPinker (talk) 16:03, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
Thank you IbnPinker! You are very supportive and I appreciate that. I have noted down your suggestions. I think you speak arabic from the quote on your userpage? If so, I have some nice arabic sources that I could recomendSashraf (talk) 22:37, 10 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello Sara, feel free to add Arabic sources. We use English sources on the Arabic wiki, so the opposite is also OK.--Asmith (talk) 20:13, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
