The most secular and rational scholars suspect Muhammad to have had a mental disorder and that may explain why he saw visions that no one else saw in his days viz. Angel Gabrial, Allah's revelations, Hellfire, Heaven, etc. If this is not true, It is likely that Muhammad was receiving verses from Satan instead of Allah.
