	::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Thanks IbnPinker. ~~What is WikiIslam's stance on publishing existing essays by authors who have nothing to do with WikiIslam? The reason~~ I ~~ask is that there is an excellent essay called “Arab Women Before and After Islam” by someone called S. B. Zaki. It really puts to bed~~ the ~~idea that Islam improved~~ the ~~condition of women in Arabia~~ - ~~and does so wholly by analysing the hadith and sirat. Years ago I used this essay quite~~ a ~~lot, and it was to be found on quite a few web sites. But these sites gradually disappeared. This morning, when searching for it~~, I found that every copy of it, other than one I included on my blog, has disappeared. As so often, sites that are persuasive in debunking Islamic disinformation seem to vanish (many of the original links for the fatwa section have gone dead - luckily I managed to find other sources for them - but it's taught me to always archive important pages). Would WikiIslam be able to reproduce the essay - with ~~full credit given to the author of course? I'd be happy to edit that page, if you created~~ it. It would be very suitable for the 'Origins of Islam' portal, as well as the 'Islam and Human Rights' portal.
