If it means "a pen", the tool for writing, then the pen is actually used less and less and is replaced by usage of keyboards. Then it would be a false prophecy. | |||
But apologists like to say that "the pen" is a metaphor for "literacy". And literacy was already increasing before Muhammad was born. Jews and Christians first used oral traditions, but then switched to writing. The trend was already there. | |||
