An apparent contradiction:  In the section on Sawm, there are two successive sentences:  "Sawm, the final pillar of Islam is also not described in the Qur'an, the “perfect, detailed, and final revelation to mankind”. Though the Qur'an describes the fast, without the Hadith, Muslims wouldn’t know why Ramadan was so special to them."  Can anyone else see the contradiction?

:I think its saying that the Quran mentions Sawm but doesnt give any details on it? As of right now I havent checked the amount of detail about Sawm in the Quran. So maybe it should be "Though the Qur'an mentions the fast" but again I'm not sure at the moment.

Does it only mention its name or does it provide additional details and if so, to what extent? --[[User:Axius|Axius]] <span style="font-size:88%">([[User_talk:Axius|talk]] <nowiki>|</nowiki> [[Special:Contributions/Axius|contribs]])</span> 19:21, 13 July 2014 (PDT)

I think its saying that the Quran mentions Sawm but doesnt give any details on it? As of right now I havent checked the amount of detail about Sawm in the Quran. So maybe it should be "Though the Qur'an mentions the fast" but again I'm not sure at the moment.
So what does the Quran say about fasting? Does it only mention its name or does it provide additional details and if so, to what extent? --Axius (talk | contribs) 19:21, 13 July 2014 (PDT)
