Talk:Qur'an Only Islam - Why it is Not Possible

An apparent contradiction: In the section on Sawm, there are two successive sentences: "Sawm, the final pillar of Islam is also not described in the Qur'an, the “perfect, detailed, and final revelation to mankind”. Though the Qur'an describes the fast, without the Hadith, Muslims wouldn’t know why Ramadan was so special to them." Can anyone else see the contradiction? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tharpa (talk • contribs) (Remember to sign your comments)
- I think its saying that the Quran mentions Sawm but doesnt give any details on it? As of right now I havent checked the amount of detail about Sawm in the Quran. So maybe it should be "Though the Qur'an mentions the fast" but again I'm not sure at the moment.
- So what does the Quran say about fasting? Does it only mention its name or does it provide additional details and if so, to what extent? --Axius (talk | contribs) 19:21, 13 July 2014 (PDT)
- See Lack of Detail in the Qur'an. Just a bit on fasts. hadith have more. Saggy (talk) 09:02, 15 July 2014 (PDT)
