::Just like to add that, based on what little we know, I'd choose the translation by Hamza Roberto Piccardo over the dated translation by Alessandro Bausani. This is because Piccardo's translation is the first Italian translation of the Qur'an by an actual Muslim. No Muslim would accept anything we had to say about Islam if we use Qur'an translations by non-Muslims. And I've also just noticed that you said Piccardo's translation is very popular among Muslims.
